I'm a grandma!!!

Ok, I am a VIRTUAL grandma. Danielle has three kids, and she's gonna get another one soon. How??? You ask. Well, there is a Nintendo DS game that you can buy that is called "Babies". Usually Danielle isn't that into her DS games, she could take them or leave them. But since we purchased this one, she has been glued to her game, changing diapers, doing feedings, giving baths, reading stories, and playing with her "kids". She even gets virtual money for it. (Don't ask me what good that is....) Anyway, I must say they are about the cutest little grand-babies I have ever had!!!! She has a boy, Tommy, and two girls, one named Ella and one named....um....I forgot. But anyway, she's learning it's alot of work to have kids. I have a sneaking suspicion that in a couple of days she will throw the game in the garbage. Unless, somehow, she starts getting paid "real" money. :-)

The Joy of Green Grass........

Wow, what a difference a little green grass will do. When we moved in we had a dirt pile full of weeds where the lawn should be. It was driving me absolutely CRAZY. So, we went to good old Lowes and bought some sod last week, and for a little bit of money and a little bit of time.......Grass. Green, pretty, fresh, grass. I know, I need to get a life.

My front porch

Here is my front porch picture. I am a bit bummed because I don't know where my cord to my good camera is, so I have to use this one that kinda takes blurry pictures. So, therefore, that is why the pic isn't that great of quality. But, you get the idea, I suppose. See all the trees......YEAH!!!! I always wanted to live in the "forest". I am in heaven.....

How to know if you've been out Mullan for too long........

1. When someone says they are going to the "Valley", you think they mean Spokane Valley....(This keeps happening to me lately....)

2. You forgot what kind of beer Ron Moreau(is that how you spell it?) drinks......(sorry Ron..)

3. You are no longer a part of the "phone tree", therefore clueless on what the heck is going on up there.

4. You don't remember when shift change is at the Lucky Friday.

5. You can't remember everyone's 4 digit phone number. (Yes, in Mullan it's only 744- STILL, so you only have to remember the last 4#'s).

6. You have no clue who works at the Outlaw.

7. You have no clue who works at the Smoke Shop.

8. When someone says they live at the "apartments", you wonder....."What apartments?".

9. You aren't sure if Mr. Dufresne still works at the school.......(shouldn't he be retired already?? Or is he??)

10. You don't have the urge to go jeeping over the Old Mullan Road.

11. Everytime you go up there you wonder who all the "new" people in town are.

On nice days our hamster likes to go outside and let off some steam.....

#5 Bob the Hermit Goes to the Pet Store....by dani

One day Bob thought he should have a pet. So, he went to the pet store and looked at the birds, dogs, cats, fish, hamsters, gerbils, and rodents. He went waaaaayyyyy back. He saw a Unicorn!!!! He was pink, his tail was rainbow, and his horn was polka-dot, and he had a gold tooth!!!! And when he smiled...BAM!!! It was soooo bright!!! He said "Hi". The Unicorn answered back, it said "Yo, diggity-dog.". He wanted him soooooooo bad. He went to the desk and asked..."How much is this Unicorn?". They said they would take $20.00 because they had him soooo long and they wanted to get rid of him. So Bob got him and named him Charlie.
The end.
(stay tuned for #6)
